IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR!!! Literary Soulfest has been celebrating literacy and literary arts while emphasizing the significance of freedom of expression since 2008. 
At its core, Literary SoulFEST aims to honor the triumph over two forms of literacy that were once punishable by law—mastery of letters and the mastery of the drum. This year during the Literary SoulFEST, The Dock Bookshop in collaboration with the American Reading Council promises an enlightening and thought-provoking discussion on the controversial subject of book bans especially in TEXAS!
Through #LiterarySoulfest, attendees have the opportunity to explore the impact of book bans, their effects on literary arts, and the importance of protecting freedom of expression. This event reminds us that despite past challenges, we have come far in the pursuit of knowledge and literacy, and we must continue to protect and nurture these values for generations to come!!!
